Riffraff: A Christmas Musical
by Micah Nordtvedt

Nobody likes the riffraff. They're a band of thieves that would like nothing better than to steal your purse or wallet. The upright citizens of Nazareth are particularly disgusted with them and their nasty habits. And they don't stop with the riffraff, either. They detest all people who fall short of their moral standards. The riffraff have really just given up on being good. It's easier to just be who they are. Nobody's perfect after all. But that's why there's Christmas. We're all rejects in need of acceptance.

This musical about the original Christmas story follows Mary, Joseph, and a band of pickpocketing shepherds (riffraff) through their experiences surrounding Jesus' birth.

Instrumentation: Piano, Bass, Drums, Trumpet (opt)
